The Caher Valley Walk-North Clare
A Guided Walk of The Caher Valley
Spectacular views both coastal and inland.
Starting and finishing in ‘Fanore’ or ‘Fainne oir’ meaning a ‘ring of gold’ with reference to its beautiful sandy beach.
It ‘s a spectacular walk rising up over the ‘Caher Valley’ then crossing an ancient cattle highway known as a ‘green road’. The next visual treat is an awe inspiring view of the Burren bedding planes ‘Mount Slieve Elva’ to the right, the limestone hills of ‘Gleninagh’ & ‘Cappanwalla’ to the North.
Finally, we will descend through the locally named and very dramatic valley named the ‘Kyber Pass’’. On the way down I recommend a visit with Karl at his beautiful ‘Caher Bridge garden’. This is a great addition to this tour.
