Temple Cronan Walk North Clare

Temple Cronan Looped Walk

A Pilgrim Walk

‘Temple Cronan’  was built in the 12th century as a destination designed to encourage pilgrimage to North Clare. If you are interested in finding out how spiritual men lived & worshiped in the splendid isolation of the burren landscape this is the hike for you!

This walk is set in the high burren near Carron, it’s an reasonably easy 6/7 km that offers a great flavor of ancient monastic architecture, including a traditional holy well called ‘Tobar Cronan’ & expansive limestone pavement.

All Day Outing

  • Coffee: The ‘Burren Perfumery’
  • Lunch:  ‘Cassidys’ in Carron

Rebecca’s Tip: Think of yourself as a pilgrim walking in the path of those who have gone before us.

You will be collected & returned to your accommodation base.
